Story 7: Case of the Camera Obscura

For the photo question, you can take a photo that's in focus for miles, but it takes a really good lens. I don't know what Annabelle's using, but since her equipment is really old and they were just taking a portrait it does seem strange the backround would be so crisp. It isn't strange that she could blow it up because she used those 4*5's, though, right? So anything's game.

well she is a professional photographer, so she could know techniques to make it look in focus.

Chapter 17 for the sneaky clue it sounded like.
If she wasn't taking a picture of the background, why would she have the background also in perfect focus?

So do you still think that the Sheriff and Annabelle were working together to get the camera?
If so, what do you think the motive was?
Additionally, how does the decanter theft factor into your theory?

pretty nice ending to the story :) only problem, theres nothing about the decanter or the the other stolen stuff, so were the decanter and other stuff all a red herring?

I liked. I think I found the sneaky clue. (Actually, there seem to be TWO sneaky clues in there). The real one is a REALLY big hint to the theif.

I bet Eliza stole all the artifacts because they're probably components of a camera obscura. Girl's gotta replace all those sketches that were messed up.

I don't think that they are part of the camera obscura. It seems she probably already owns one, having made the drawings in the first place.
Perhaps it would help to make a list of all the stolen artifacts and who could have and who could not have stolen them? Anyone up for this idea?

That was really satisfying. But what about the sheriff and his air-gun? Was he simply led astray like the rest of us and attempted to correct the balance? And where does Eliza come in? Sorry Kirai, I'm too lazy to make a list. Maybe someone else will do it.

what are the two sneaky clues though?
