Firefox and Spider Cliff?
Firefox and Spider Cliff?

First of all, apologies if there is a specific bug report thread -- I've only seen one for the forum itself.
I've been completely unable to open the comic using firefox. For ages. Across several versions of firefox. Yes, I've already submitted a bug report on this. So what happens is that the flash file loads, but all elements of the comic are crowded into the upper left corner of the frame. Which, of course, makes it impossible to read it in firefox, and I hate having to open IE... this is the only page I ever open it for, in fact. So, my question is: is anyone able to open the comic in firefox? If so, how?

I can open it. If I have that problem (which is rare), I just restart the chapter. I don't know what to tell you.

I'm using Firefox too, no probs here. Unfortuantely I'm not computer minded enough to help you. Only thing I can think of is do you have the most up to date version of flash????

Flash is up to date, firefox is version 18.104.22.168 ... restarting the chapter or even reloading the page won't do a bit of good. It still reproduces the same bunched-into-left-corner-ness, over and over. There seems to be no way to make it work.

I'm still on FF 1.07 and have gotten across the 'bunched in left corner' bug quite a few times. It's well known: have a look at the 'help' page via the link in the menu on the right (third item).
Having said that, restarting the chapter or even reloading the page, has cleared it up each and every single time for me.
Note for Jason - might help in finding the cause:
I can normally tell before I start a chapter whether or not it will be bunched up in a corner: if - while the chapter is loading - I get a flicker of one of the chapter's pages, starting the chapter will show everything in the left hand corner.

i hope to have a solution to that problem soon. i think it has to do with the way parts are loaded.

Is it just FF that shows the problem? I know some AOL users have also reported it. I haven't heard of this issue happening in IE, or on the PSP and cellphone versions.

I have never had a problem using Firefox with this comic, but I did have to install *Flash (can't remember the name) to be able to view it. Maybe you have an earlier version of *Flash that is hindering your viewing experience?

I can open it, hurrah, using Firefox on a Mac (a potentially lethal combination!).

Whatever you changed Jason, it seems to have reversed the problem for me too. I was having the bunched-in-the-top-left-corner problem in exactly the way described by jrf, right down to the flicker, more or less every time a chapter loaded. Now it's gone.

I am using firefox 22.214.171.124 and it still does the same thing
My fix for it is
that usually sorts it out. :)

I had no idea people were having the same problem!
